Beware of False TV License Scam
« on: January 24, 2019, 02:54:07 PM »
Received an e-mail today advising that the TV Licensing could not collect an active Direct Debit fee from my Account.
My e-mail sender was from TV Licensing  <no-reply.201487.8927.51.11808.777@tvlicensing.co.uk>
It was requesting details and advising to set up new Direct Debit.
Checks available from https://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/faqs/FAQ288 showed e-mail was a SCAM.
Be very careful e-mail all very plausible and even has links into "Official Website!!!" ::) ::)

I have also received an email scam saying that my bank had refused to pay out a Direct Debit for a TV License.
The email sender was - TV Licensing <62E462175C-3198C2D33B-3173E71B0E@o1.transmail.ecobank.com>

It looked very plausible until I realized that my name did not appear anywhere on the email.

Be warned!
