There are many forms of Poker, but Texas Holdem is the foremost version. It is the form that is used in modern professional tournaments, because the skill element far outweighs the luck element.
If you have enjoyed a friendly game of Poker (of any variety) in the past, then you are invited to join this proposed group. Texas Holdem is easy to learn, and is great fun. Full training will be given in the mechanics of the game prior to starting.
There shall be NO GAMBLING with real money. Instead, each player is allocated a standard amount of notional chips. Initially we shall play for fun, but later, then we all get the hang of it, we can organise tournaments.
At the moment we are having weekly-ish training session, where we have a period of instruction, followed by an hour's worth of play.
On Wednesday 1st June local Geologist Sid Howells will be leading a walk around the St David's area to explore its building stones and geology 10:30am - 2:30pm.

Then on Friday 1st July at 7:30pm as part of Pembrokeshire Fish Week and our Science Cafe programme at Ffwrn in Fishguard we have a talk on Evolution by Steve Morris entitled 'Do women really need men?'.
The Annual Show takes place at Hakin Community School, on Saturday 8th August 2015at 2 pm. Categories include Cut Flowers, Pot Plants, Fruit and Vegetables, Craft (including Art), Floral Art, and Cookery. See the attached Schedule.

At the next Computer Group meeting (28 May 2015) I shall give a talk entitled "How to Write Software". I have written software to be used as an example. It plays the game of Nim, Computer vs Player. I have used the computer language C# (pronounced C sharp) for this.
