Many thanks for your comments.   I did the download a few days - it took 25 minutes - quicker than the 2 hours 17 minutes they had predicted!  So far it hasn?t caused any trouble!  COMPUTERS!!!!!!

I note that I have, waiting to download, a very big update:-  The 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 3 (SP3). (275.7 MB)   I remember some years ago that huge updates with Service Packs caused all sorts of trouble ? is it safe to download this one?  I would appreciate the advice of the Computer Group members.   Margaret

Books and Reading / Re: The 9/11 Letters

I find I can still access the 9/11 letter entitled ?Prepositions?, written by Lionel Shriver, on the following web site http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/b014629p.  Trying another route I was also able to play the short story on http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b014629p/Book_of_the_Week_The_9_11_Letters_Lionel_Shriver/  Sorry I am not clever enough to put the web sites as links!

I would also like to add my vote of thanks to John ? when the computer was absolutely dead he tried, very patiently, to help me with instructions over the phone.  When this didn?t work he came to the house and, again very patiently, went through everything he could think of and eventually got it to work ? magic!   Thanks again John

Does anyone recognize the lovely music which is played during the viewing of ?A pIcture of Letterston? in the video collection by Ruth.  It is such soothing music ? I would love to download the music and play it when I am really stressed!
