Title: Good local history book recommendations?
Post by: SteveB on October 21, 2020, 10:07:26 pm
Dear all

Having recently moved to the county, I am interested in finding out more about the history of Pembrokeshire.

Can anybody recommend a good book on the subject?

Thanks

Steve

Here is one I read in 1982 when we first came down here but it looks like it has been updated in 1995.  Still a good read, I'm sure, if you can get it from the library or pick up a 2nd hand copy.  We seem to have lost ours!

Thanks Geoff. I have ordered it 2nd hand off Abe Books for £3.47!

I also found "Pembrokeshire: the Concise History" by Roger Turvey on Amazon, which I have just ordered. I shall read these and share my views thereon.
